Gig 2 in Paris – Paris Plage with Antonio
Another afternoon show at the Plage meant we had the day to ourselves so we headed to Montparnasse for lunch via the Pompidou Centre and then to the cemetery (very different from Pere Lachaise, much more quiet but just as beautiful).

At the Plage that night we were joined by another artist, Antonio. He played a mix of covers and original material (guitar and loop pedals etc). He did a fab version of Purple Rain and everyone seemed to enjoy the show. Live music seems to go down really well at the Plage & Antonio was kind enough to let us use his amps.

It’s so nice to play to the locals in Paris, they always seem so keen to talk to us because we’re Scottish and are always very receptive to the music.
We played a mix of covers (‘Luka’ by Suzanne Vega went down particularly well – even got the security guards and Paris Plage staff excited) and original material (tracks from the first album as well as the new LP) whilst basking in the early evening’s sun… so nice!

That night we went out for curry with the boys from Belushi’s to a great place on Rue Chabrol (Kashmir House). The service was great & the food was fab – so another great night in Paris was had until we returned to Belush’s! We had some problems with the bar manager on duty that night regarding the food / drinks offer & had a little confrontation in the bar after he decided the best way to deal with the situation was to shout at us in French causing a bit of a scene… ah you’ve gotta laugh eh! All was sorted out via Graham (our Paris fixer) and we’re looking forward to playing the Open Mic in the bar on Sunday 5th August.
