New Release, Charity gig and EIFF aftershow party

Very excited to introduce the new EP in collaboration with Canadian singer-songwriter D.Soul the Soulsamurai.
The EP features four tracks and is available as a ‘pay what you want’ download direct from the Sacre Noir Bandcamp page

I will find some time during the summer to write a proper blog about this collaboration and the process, but for now all I shall say is that I love working with Darian (even if it is via the internet with AlexisSs playing the part of translator in our world of music & words) and I am incredibly proud of this collection of tracks.

SAKARIS is the main project of Faroese electro producer Sakaris Emil Joensen,
who started out in 2010 with his quirky 8-bit electro funk debut “Darling EP” and further establishing himself with the full-length 2012 album “I Have Beautiful Eyes”.

SAKARIS has become one of the most prominent electro artists from the remote and tiny Faroe Islands and his music ranges from tight, bright and optimistic dance music, to soaring 80s nostalgic soundscapes.
The bar was filled with film festival go-ers and the prosecco was flowing.

Charity Night for Cancer Research @ The 511, Edinburgh
Our good friend and make-up artist / stylist Erin invited us to play a small set at her event and we could not have been happier to help.
We arranged a set of guitar-vocal covers with a couple of Sacre Noir tracks thrown in for good measure. The crowd was great; singing along and providing a very warm atmposphere.
The venue was great for the events planned (quiz, raffle, live music and chest waxing) and everyone there had a great time; meeting new people and sharing our love of Erin and the amazing job she had done arrnaging this event.
